- Covers aspects of basic navigation, collision avoidance regs., electronic navigational aids, buoy age, emergency procedures incl. flooding, fire, abandoning ship.
- Competence by assessment & simple multi-choice/written questionnaire.
Fee: Currently free to fishermen undertaking the <16.5m Skippers ticket
£100 per day to non-fishermen

Yorkshire Coast Wind Farm
The world’s largest windfarm is to be built in the North Sea 80 miles off the Yorkshire coast
Developer DONG Energy says the Hornsea-1 farm will cover more than 154 square miles and its wind turbines will be 190m tall. It will be able to power over one million UK homes with a capacity of 1.2 gigawatts and is expected to be fully operational in 2020.
