We are looking for enthusiastic, physically fit candidates to attend our Three Week Introduction to Commercial Fishing course.

The course will cover:

  • STWC Personal Survival Techniques
  • STCW Elementary First Aid
  • Basic Fire Fighting
  • New Entrant Health and Safety
  • Basic Engineering
  • Stability Awareness
  • Basic Navigation
  • Raft Building
  • Gear and Net Mending
  • Boat Handling
  • Galley Duties
  • Food and Hygiene
  • Care of the Catch
  • Seamanship
  • On Board Procedure

You must attend all 15 days of this course to qualify for any certificates.

Fully funded to anyone wanting to join the fishing industry.

Yorkshire Coast Wind Farm

The world’s largest windfarm is to be built in the North Sea 80 miles off the Yorkshire coast

Developer DONG Energy says the Hornsea-1 farm will cover more than 154 square miles and its wind turbines will be 190m tall. It will be able to power over one million UK homes with a capacity of 1.2 gigawatts and is expected to be fully operational in 2020.
